Gregg Frederick Taft, 69, entered into rest on Monday, September 14, 2026.

Gregg was born on December 30, 1956, in Glens Falls, New York, to the late Donald and Joan Besaw Taft. He was a man of simple pleasures – he especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle and listening to his favorite country artists. Gregg was deeply dedicated to his family. It was among his greatest joys to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also kept a special place in his heart for his dog, Winnie the Pooh. Above all, Gregg loved the Lord. Gregg’s legacy of faith and love leaves a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure to know him.

In addition to his parents, Gregg was preceded in death by his son, Steven Taft; his sisters, Joanne Rawlins and Kim Brunelle; and his brother, Michael Taft.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Newsome Taft; his children, Jennifer Tripp (John) of Williamsburg, VA, and Elizabeth Snyder (Andy) of Enigma, GA; his stepchildren, Matthew Clark, Suzanne Cortes (Kyle), and Hannah Ho-on (Marty); his grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Tripp, Alivia and Alex Snyder, and Elowlyn Cortes; and his brother, Kevin Taft of Latham, NY; along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with a Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made out in Gregg’s honor to a charity of your choice.
