Gregory Everett Tackett

Gregory Everett Tackett, 65, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Gregory was born on March 4, 1961, to Everett Wilson and Pearlie Reeves Tackett in Warner Robins, Georgia. For his entire life, Gregory was a people person. He never met a stranger and loved to bend anyone’s ear with a good story. Gregory could often be found on the front porch, where he enjoyed people watching. He also had a deep love for animals.

In his free time, Gregory enjoyed collecting things. He had a sizable collection of tools that he was especially proud of.

Gregory was a sweet, loving soul with a heart for his family. While he was in the hospital before his passing, he asked the nurse if she wanted to meet the person he loved most. When the nurse said yes, Gregory introduced her to “his Mama.”

Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Everett Wilson Tackett.

His memory will forever be cherished by his mother, Pearlie Reeves Tackett; by his siblings, Sandy Livington and Tony Reeves; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be given to the local NAMI chapter in honor of Gregory.
