Harlie Francis Foremes, Sr.

Harlie Francis Foremes, Sr., 74, died Sunday, August 2, 2003 in Palatine, IL. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. A rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, at McCullough Funeral Home with a visitation following until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018.

A native of Lynn, Massachusetts, Mr. Foremes was the son of the late Theodore and Sarah Foremes and the widower of Georgia Eleanor Foremes. He was a retired civil engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Foremes was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0172.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Ackleson, Palatine, IL; Julie Gulkis, Safety Harbor, FL; and Karen McLeod, Warner Robins; son, Harlie Foremes, Jr., Tifton; and six grandchildren.
