Harry Paschal Cofer

Harry Paschal Cofer, 96, of Bonaire, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 29, 2023.

Harry was born on May 11, 1927, in Atlanta, GA to the late Robert A. and Thera P. Cofer, and preceded in death by his brothers, Homer A. Cofer, Robert Virgil Cofer, his sisters, Sara V. Cofer, Mary Alice Cofer, and Emma L. Cofer Trudeau Brockett.

Harry honorably served his country in the United States Army serving in WWII. He also retired in 1982 with 32 years Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He worked in the Ground Electronics Engineering Installation Division, and also in Electronic Industrial Engineering and Planning. He had received several cash awards for suggestions submitted while working on base.

Harry loved his family unconditionally, his neighbors, and always had a kind word for those he came in contact with. He was a longtime member of City Church in Warner Robins, GA where he taught Sunday School for many years. He loved the Lord, and gospel singing. Harry will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

His memory will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife of 75 years, Ella Black Cofer; his children, Benita Gabbard (David), Gary Cofer (Liz), and Glenda Becham (Carl); along with 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and brother-in-law, Les Brockett.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions on behalf of Harry Cofer to City Church at 1304 Corder Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Harry will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
