Harvey Lee Gordon

Harvey Lee Gordon, 83, entered into rest on Thursday, March 21, 2013.

Mr. Gordon was born on January 9, 1930 in Uvalda, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith. Harvey served his country as a Corporal during the Korean conflict enlisted in the Army Air Corps. After many years of dedicated employment, he retired from Georgia Kraft Company as a Computer Programmer. In the 1940's and 1950's, he was a Gospel Singer. Harvey enjoyed spending time with his loving family, and fishing and gardening. His parents, Harvey Truman Gordon and Volia Americus Gordon, sister, Lou-Hazel Gordon, and brother, Charles K. Gordon, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty nine years, Vera Myria Gordon, Warner Robins; children, Pamela Hatch (Jim) Suwanee; Phyllis Gordon, Stone Mountain; sister, Goldie Holt, brother, Jerry "Mullis" Gordon (Sandy); grandchildren, Jennifer Fairchild (Ryan), Cody Zeder and Lee Zeder; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
