Hazel Oletta Cramer

Hazel Oletta Cramer, 84, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Hazel was born on March 9, 1942, in Boone’s Creek, Tennessee to the late Clayton Bowman Cox and Maggie Mae Hinkle Cox. She married the love of her life, Retired MSGT Joseph H. Cramer on November 15, 1991, at Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Hazel was a member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. She faithfully attended the McLain-Walters Sunday School class. She was also the chairman of the Ministry Committee Members.

Hazel loved traveling. She visited forty-six states, including Alaska and Hawaii, along with two other countries. She loved the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee any time of year, especially in the fall to see the beautiful foliage. She always had to go to the Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg for their cherry crepes.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded by her beloved husband, Joseph H. Cramer, along with three brothers and a sister, and her niece, Shirley Shaw.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Colleen M. Frick (Barry) of Albemarle, North Carolina and Indianola A. “Kitty” Rouse of Kingsport, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Jennifer Lowder and Dustin Frick; her four great-grandchildren; her stepchildren, Tina Leman of Indiana and Gary Cramer of Texas; along with several nieces and nephews, and her special nephew, Carl “Shorty” Arthur of Missouri.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Sandy Valley Baptist Church. Afterward, Hazel will be laid to rest at Georgia Veterans National Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 31, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Hazel to Sandy Valley Baptist Church at 1124 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
