Hazel S. Banks

Hazel S. Banks, 82, formerly of Warner Robins, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2005 in Aiken, South Carolina. Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Banks was born on January, 24, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Banks was an active gardener. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base where she was employed as a records clerk. Her husband, James Alva Banks, Jr. and her parents, Arthur and Hazel Strauss, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Linda Banks, Bainbridge; grandchildren, Michael and Mary Ann Banks, Imperial Beach, CA; Donald Kratz, Milledgeville; Deborah Wiley, Milledgeville; Thomas Kratz, Lake Charles, LA; and Yoland Kratz, Cochran; great grandchildren, Courtney and Chrystina Banks, Imperial Beach, CA; Shawn Kratz, Cochran; Elizabeth Fulwood, Cochran; and Taylor Darity, Milledgeville; and nieces and nephews, Ashley McCarthy, Linda McCarthy, Loretta McCarthy, Susan McCarthy Williams, Vernon A. McCarthy, Diane Houston, Theodore, AL; and Peggy Harrison, Winchester, IN.
