Helen Ammons Barfield

Mrs. Helen Barfield, 71, passed away Saturday, December 21,2002, at Houston Medical Center. Services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 24 in McCullough Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barfield was born in Houston County. She was retired from Houston County Board of Education and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Her husband, Levi Barfield and parents, John and Lillie Proctor Ammons, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Barfield Newby (Bill), Gray; Julie Barfield Streetman (Perry III), Elko; Brother, Edward Ammons, Warner Robins; granddaughter, Taylor Catherine Martin, Elko; grandsons, Tanner Martin and Cole Streetman, both of Elko.
