Helen Haddock Lipscomb

Helen Lipscomb, 87, passed into the hands of her loving Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

Helen was born on November 23, 1927 in Hiltonia, Georgia to the late Archie and Clyde Haddock. She had a compassionate and giving personality, and utilized those qualities as a nurse in Savannah and Effingham County Hospital, from where she retired. Helen had a deep love for her family and enjoyed gardening her flowers. She called Guyton United Methodist her church home.

In addition to her parents, her husband, John M. Lipscomb, Sr., preceded her in death.

Helen's memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, John M. Lipscomb, Jr. of Warner Robins, Henry E. Lipscomb of Atlanta, and Robert J. Lipscomb of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Heather C. Matthews of Warner Robins and Kenny J. Lipscomb of Oakland, California; and five adoring great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with a graveside service following in Effingham Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m.
