Hernandez "Herb" Hickey

Hernandez “Herb” Hickey passed away after an extended illness at the Houston Medical Center on Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was 46 years old.

Born and raised in Warner Robins, Herb was the son of Bernice Wright Hickey and the late Alfonzo. A loving father and husband, Herb was one of those souls who loved people. He was a God-fearing man. A roofer for most of his working life, he was a certified roofing operator. Herb married the love of his life, Trenese Brooks Hickey, in 2004. In his spare time, Herb enjoyed being outside, hosting get-togethers and watching television.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Trenese Hickey; son, Kelson Brooks of Savannah; daughters, Tamia Hickey of South Carolina and Tamara Hickey, Sierra Hickey, and Kayla Wynn of Warner Robins; sisters, Sheree, Crystal, and April Hickey; sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Wallace), Angela, Valerie (Ken); and Kelly; grandmother, Julia M. Jackson; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will always be remembered by his devoted friends, Robbie Roquemore and Robert Ballard.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at McCullough Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held immediately following visitation in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Hernandez will be laid to rest at Tharpe Cemetery in Warner Robins. Pastor Dr. Lonnie Slater will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Hernandez “Herb” Hickey. These gifts can be made payable directly to McCullough Funeral Home with “Hernandez Hickey Memorial Fund” written in the memo line.
