Horace Mack Williams was born on January 2, 1965, in Perry, GA to Luell Williams and the late Eddie Mack Williams. Horace unexpectedly passed away at his forever home that he personally designed and built, which he affectionally called “Hawk’s Landing”. Horace, known by his friends as “Hoss,” was educated in the Houston County School District and proudly served in the United Stated Navy, where he met and still remains close friends with former shipmates from the USS SIERRA (AD-18). Horace was a dedicated employee of House of Raeford Farms, formerly known as Tyson Farms, and worked as the Crew Chief of Bird Vaccinations.
Horace was received in the arms of his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 29, 2026, and is survived by his children Horecia Williams of Elko, GA, Quintin Williams (Natalie) of Atlanta, GA, Jake Williams of Pooler, GA, and Armani Williams of Americus, GA; one grandchild, Raquel Williams; his former wife of 30 years, Wycile Williams, of Brunswick, GA; siblings, Kandal (Randall) Owens of Perry, GA, Patricia (Alex) Lane of Perry, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and, friends.
Horace was proceeded in death by his brother Christopher (Marlana) Williams of Brunswick, GA.
Horace had a passion for restoring classic cars, especially Mustangs, and motorcycles. He found great satisfaction in bringing them back to life. He enjoyed working around the family farm, which he took great pride in maintaining, always believing that anything worth doing was worth doing well. Finding both enjoyment and peace in music, Horace loved playing his many guitars and writing his own songs. He was happiest when he was outdoors and grilling for family and friends.
Above all, he treasured his family and the friendships he made throughout his life. Horace will forever be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, quiet determination and his love for his family.
His generosity, sense of humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all those whose lives he touched and who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, immediately following visitation in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Horace will be laid to rest at Perry Memorial Gardens.
