Hugh D. Giddens

Hugh D. Giddens, 83, died Tuesday, August 12, 2003 in his home. Services will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening at the funeral home between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.

Mr. Giddens was born in Telfair County, GA. He was retired from the civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked in the Security Police. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII. A Mason, he was a member of the Tyrian Lodge #111 and Greater Praise Church of God. Mr. Giddens was preceded in death by his parents, Chester L. and Claudie Giddens, and son, Randy L. Giddens.

Survivors include his wife, Alda Giddens, Warner Robins; son, Hugh “Ron” Giddens, Warner Robins; brothers, Grover Giddens, Davenport, FL, and Chester Giddens, Fayetteville, NC; sister, Tilda Ray, Rhine, GA; granddaughters, Melissa Raudenbush, Perry; Janda Gray, Warner Robins; and Taska Yarbrough, Macon; six great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
