Inez E. Watson

Inez E. Watson, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was called home to be with the Lord on the morning of Thursday, May 4, 2017. She was 84 years old.

Inez was born on July 25, 1932 in Danville, Georgia to the late G. Felton and Lucy C. Ellington. A lovely homemaker, she truly loved her children and grandchildren, and lived her life by example always putting faith and family first. Mrs. Watson enjoyed worship and fellowship at Shirley Hills Baptist Church where she was a member since 1972. There, she was a much-loved member of the Adult Couples' Sunday School Class. Inez was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, played in several bridge clubs, and enjoyed traveling, as well. She also dedicated much of her time volunteering at blood drives for the American Red Cross. Mrs. Watson will be sadly missed at home, church, and in her community, but the memory of her fidelity and loyalty to God and the church will remain an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

She leaves her memory behind with her devoted husband of 60 years, H. Vance Watson; children, Van F. Watson (Kim) and Ginger W. Talton (Neal); grandchildren, Luke Watson (Beth) and Zack Watson, Tal Talton (Amanda), and Miss Sydney Talton and fiancé Josh Morstad; and great-grandchildren, Ellie Kate Talton and Neal L. "Tate" Talton III; and sister-in-law, Helen Mercer Watson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Mrs. Watson will be laid to rest at 2:30 p.m. in Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, GA Hwy 112, Danville, GA 31017.
