Ira Cleo Teagle III, affectionately known as "Sonny," entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on August 5, 1954, in Valdosta, Georgia, Sonny was the beloved son of the late Ira Cleo Teagle, Jr. and Emily O'Neal Teagle. He was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he spent his childhood and graduated from Northside High School.

Following high school, Sonny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for many years. His military service reflected his strong sense of duty, commitment, and patriotism. Through his years of service, he formed lasting friendships and carried with him the values of honor and dedication throughout his life.

Sonny had a deep love for music and possessed a remarkable talent for playing the guitar, a skill he taught himself through determination and passion. He especially enjoyed country music and was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley, whose music brought him great joy throughout the years.

A loyal supporter of the University of Georgia Bulldogs, Sonny could often be found cheering on his beloved Dawgs during football season. Whether listening to music, playing his guitar, or watching a Georgia game, he found happiness in life's simple pleasures.

Above all else, Sonny was a family man. He loved his family deeply and treasured the time spent with those he held dear. He will be remembered as a loving father, devoted brother, cherished son, and faithful friend. His kindness, love, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Though he will be greatly missed, Sonny leaves behind a legacy of love, service, music, and family that will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Lacy.

His memory will forever be treasured by his son, Jason Teagle of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Becky Domingue (Dave); brother-in-law, Tim Lacy; nephew, David Domingue (Leilani); and his favorite niece, Brianda Domingue.
