Iris Delia Keener, 83, passed into the presence of Jesus on the evening of Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born and raised in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and was the daughter of the late Roman and Catalina Pellot.
As a young lady, Iris was ambitious and eager to become a beautician and was thrilled to make her dreams come true when she graduated from Macon Beauty School. She did hair and makeup for countless customers, family, and friends through the years. Iris also enjoyed being a greeter at Central Baptist Church where she was a longtime member of the Joyner Sunday School Class. Bowling was another hobby she loved to take part in with her husband, Bob.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Kent C. Keener.
Iris is survived by her loving husband, Bob Keener of Bonaire; children, Jimmy Bogle of Yuma, Arizona, Joe Bogle of Warner Robins, JoAnn Thigpen (Richard) of Sandersville, and Reverend Steve Keener (Shelia) of Bonaire; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Iris Keener’s life will be honored as she is laid to rest with a graveside funeral service in Magnolia Park Cemetery, on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Steve Keener will officiate.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Iris to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
