Jackie G. Oliphant

Jackie Glenn Oliphant, 83, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

Jackie was born on October 30, 1935 in Carthage, Mississippi to the late Taurus Oliphant and Willie Hardin Fryery. He was devoted to his local law enforcement team as a Police Officer and Private Investigator. Jackie proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard for many years. He also worked at his local 13 WMAZ news station as a videographer. His favorite hobby was photography.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his son, Randy Oliphant.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 49 years, Maria L. Oliphant; his children, Anita Oliphant Arnett (Jim) of Bonaire; Jack Oliphant Jr. (Amy) of Alpharetta and Todd Oliphant; grandchildren, Nichole, Samuel, Samantha, Lydia, Zoe and Zachary; and great-grandchildren, Shandra, Emily, Caitlin and Eli.

A Memorial Gathering for Mr. Oliphant will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Mr. Oliphant will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
