Jacquelyn McNeil Meeker entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the age of 77.
Jacquelyn was born on July 24, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, to the late George and Louise Meeker. Raised in Warner Robins, she graduated from Warner Robins High School with the Class of 1967. A Demon through and through, Jacquelyn's love for her alma mater was unmatched. Her school spirit was something she carried proudly throughout her entire life. She was one of the Warner Robins Demons' biggest fans, faithfully cheering on her beloved teams, especially football and basketball. Win or lose, her Demon pride never wavered, and she was always proud to wear the red and black.
During high school, Jacquelyn began working at Warner Robins Supply through a school work program and continued her employment there for some time after graduation. She later began working at the Officers' Club at Robins Air Force Base, where she served as an office manager. After more than 20 years of dedicated service, she retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. Following retirement, Jacquelyn devoted much of her time to caring for her ailing mother, a reflection of the love and dedication she had for her family.
In addition to her unwavering Demon pride, Jacquelyn was an enthusiastic hockey fan, especially when it came to the Macon Whoopee. She also had a great love for music and enjoyed attending concerts. One of her favorite bands was Survivor, and she attended many of their concerts over the years. Their hit song, "Eye of the Tiger," held a special place among her favorites. While she enjoyed cheering on her teams and attending concerts, Jacquelyn was also a homebody at heart who appreciated the comfort and familiarity of being at home.
Jacquelyn will be remembered as a kindhearted woman who earned the respect of everyone who knew her. She was a devoted wife, loving daughter, and wonderful sister who valued her family deeply. Her caring nature, loyalty, and genuine love for those closest to her were evident throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Meeker, Jr.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her brother, Kenneth McNeil.
Jacquelyn will lie in state at McCullough Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made in memory of Jacquelyn to any of the following organizations: the Alzheimer's Association , the American Lung Association, or Susan G. Komen.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
