James Charles Wilson, 81, entered into rest on Friday, September 13, 2024.
James was born on December 24, 1942, in Bradford, Pennsylvania. His loving parents were William Davis and Lorraine Walk Davis. After high school, James enlisted and honorably served in the United States Air Force as a sheet metal mechanic on C-124s. Following his service, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 34 years until his retirement. In his personal life, James was a faithful Christian who was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in the Mellette Sunday school class. He was a kind and gentle man who deeply loved his family; his children and grandchildren were his life. In his free time, he was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, along with traveling whenever he had the chance. James will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wilson.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of almost 47 years, Carolyn Haralson Wilson; children, James Heath Wilson of Bonaire, David Keath Wilson of Warner Robins, and Kelli Anne Wilson of Perry; grandchildren, James Heath Wilson, Jr. (Chelsea) of Eatonton, Duwayne Gabele Pierce of Warner Robins, and Shyanne Brooke Wilson of Warner Robins; great-grandchild, Jaxon Graham Wilson of Eatonton; siblings, Ed Davis of Limestone, NY, Tom Davis (Tina) of Bradford, PA, and Steve Davis of Bradford, PA; along with his dogs, Duncan and Rudy.
