James H. Walker

James H. Walker, 59, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, February 2 at Neely’s Chapel Baptist Church in New Market, Alabama. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery, also in New Market. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home and Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 at Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green, Alabama.

A native of Sturgis, Michigan, Mr. Walker was employed by Hammack Well Drilling in Ellaville, GA. Billy Jacobs Drilling Co. formerly employed him in Vienna, GA. His father, John H. Walker I, and son, John H. Walker II, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Alma Walker, New Market, AL; daughters, Laleta Robbins, Warner Robins, and Sheila Presson, Cunningham, KY; son, James Walker, Roberta; three brothers, Edward Walker, New Market, AL; Steve Walker, Virginia; Lloyd Walker, Florida; seven sisters, Gail Kimbrough, New Market, AL; Vicki Moody, Blountsville, AL; Brenda Garner, Boaz, AL; Margaret Speck, Jean Jones, and May Towery, all of New Market, AL; and Donna Perry, Huntsville, AL, and six grandchildren.
