James Stephen Roberson, Jim, 71, of Warner Robins, GA, passed away on July 6, 2026.
Jim was born in Sheffield, AL on July 15, 1954, the son of James Clyde Roberson and Verniece Welch Roberson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Pam Roberson Sloat, and Stan Roberson. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Paula Walker Roberson and faithful goldendoodle, Mickey; his four children, Jamie (Chuck) Davis, Matthew Roberson, Maggie (Amanda White) Roberson, Catie (Ethan) Hurt and his much-adored grandchildren, Zion Davis, Allie & Cohen Kennedy, Addison & Rilynn Roberson, Madisyn Roberson, and Sebastian & Finley Hurt. His siblings Cindy (Scott) Raschke, Lorri Lucas, Greg Roberson; his brother-in-law, Stacey Sloat; as well as the many nieces and nephews that he adored.
We remember him for his love of people, baseball (especially the New York Yankees), the Arkansas Razorbacks, hunting, and a deep love of music. He grew up in Texarkana, Arkansas, where he and his wife began raising their family. During his younger years, Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army's elite 82nd Airborne Division. He continued his military service in both the Arkansas and Texas National Guard, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to serving others. In 1998, he and his family moved to Warner Robins, where he began a career at Robins Air Force Base that spanned more than two decades until his retirement in 2019. After retiring, he settled into permanent "Pop" mode, sharing ice cream with Mickey and the grandkids.
