Jamie Lynn Carter, 22, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.
Miss Carter was born on February 5, 1986 in Warner Robins, Georgia. She was currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Family and Childhood Development from Georgia Southern University. While at GSU, she loved serving in the Kappa Delta Sorority where she served as the Vice President of Recruiting. As a student at Warner Robins High School, she was a cheerleader, an officer in the Spanish Club, and a senior representative of the 2004-2005 Homecoming Court. During her senior year in high school, she was also voted "Most Likely to Be a Heartbreaker". Her maternal grandfather, William Morgan, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her father, Charlie Carter and wife, Cecilia, Dublin; her mother, Ellen Carter, Warner Robins; sisters, Kristin Lee Stippel (Brandon), Royal Air Force Base Lakenheath, England, Kelly Lauren Carter, Warner Robins, and Callie Rae Carter, Dublin; paternal grandparents, Eddie and Shirley Carter, Warner Robins; maternal grandmother, Ellen Morgan, Warner Robins; paternal great-grandmother, Blonnie Lee Carter, West Point; grandparent, Sandra Odom, Dudley; nieces, Audrey and Julia Stippel, RAF Lakenheath, England.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Southside Baptist Church with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kappa Delta Sorority, Georgia Southern University, 108 Olympic Boulevard, Statesboro, GA 30458.
