Janice Pruett Tarleton

Janice Pruett Tarleton of Warner Robins, GA, passed away July 20, 2026. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

Born in Chester, GA on December 31, 1940, Janice Tarleton was the daughter of the late Fred and Willie Belle (Tripp) Pruett and a graduate of Hawkinsville High School. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her time in Warner Robins, GA began as a secretary on Robins Air Force Base, where she met the love of her life. Janice was married to the late Ronnie Tarleton for 56 years, and they were active members of Shirley Hills Baptist Church for many years. She dedicated her life as a homemaker to creating a caring and loving home for her family, which was filled with grace and unconditional love

Mrs. Tarleton is survived by her daughter, Vicki Tarleton of Evans, GA; sister, Gwen Beasley of Marietta, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Tarlton of Lexington, SC; brother-in-law, Richard Tarleton (Mary Sue) of China Grove, NC; sister-in-law, Ellen Lee of Elgin, SC, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Talmadge (Buddy) Pruett; brother, Ledford (Sonny) Pruett; brother-in-law, James Beasley; brother-in-law, Jerry Tarlton; sister-in-law, Patsy Tarlton; brother-in-law, Ned Tarlton.

The family wishes to express their love and appreciation to those who have been part of her amazing care team over the past four years: Summer’s Landing Memory Care Unit; the Nurse Practitioners from Georgia House Calls; Miranda, Latonya and the entire Georgia Hospice team; Marilyn George. The care, compassion and medical support provided by each of these individuals and teams will forever be appreciated and cherished.
