Janice Yvette Shannon

November 30, 1945 — September 20, 2019

Janice Shannon, 73, entered into rest on Friday, September 20, 2019.

Janice was the daughter of the late James Richard and Dorothy Cobb. Growing up in Huntsville, Alabama, Janice graduated in 1962 from Lee High School. Early on she had a zest for adventure and enjoyed riding motorcycles and even skydiving. She worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant for several years until her retirement. In her free time, Janice enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and stitching, puzzles and brainteasers, and traveling all over the United States. Janice had a very nurturing soul and was a mother to everyone. She was a full time caregiver to her husband, Steven, until his passing. Most of all, she loved to laugh and would do whatever she could for those in need.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Jefferson Shannon; and brother, James Richard Cobb, Jr.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Steven Shannon (Maria Hood); siblings, Patricia Cobb Fuller (Steven); and grandchild, Kayla Shenell Brazelton.

A memorial service for Mrs. Shannon will be held at a later date.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
