Jeanie Long Davis

Jeanie Long Davis, age 54, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1544, Warner Robins, GA 31099-1544, or to the Second Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 701 Sandy Run RD, Warner Robins 31088.

Born in Macon, Ms. Davis lived in Warner Robins and was a ’67 graduate of Northside High School. Her work as a personnel officer for CB&T Bank of Middle Georgia earned her recognition as the 2003 Employee of the Year by the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, where she volunteered for the Children’s Church, served as Awanas Counselor, and was the Upward Basketball Assistant Coach for the fifth- and sixth-grade girls.

Survivors include her mother, Betty J. Ward, Warner Robins; father and stepmother, Harold E. and Olivee Long, Warner Robins; son, Ryan M. Davis (Paula), Macon; sister, Mary Jo Young, Warner Robins; three brothers, Sonny Long, Jacksonville, AL; George S. Long (Louise), Warner Robins; and Steven Ward (Angela), Milledgeville; several nieces and nephews; one great niece; one great nephew; and boyfriend, Bobby Reese, Warner Robins.
