Jeanne A. Aldred, 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Phoenix at Lake Joy.
Born on June 17, 1938, in Maryland, Virginia, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Main Abbott. She was raised in Miami Springs, Florida, where she attended high school before pursuing further education in Virginia.
Jeanne was first married to Pat Lipscomb, with whom she had a son, Michael. Pat sadly passed away, when Michael was around one. In time, she found love again with Marvin C. Goff and together they had four children. Later, she married Mallie C. Aldred, with whom she shared a love of travel, particularly road trips and adventures out west until his passing in 2016.
Jeanne had a love of disco dancing, especially the Latin hustle in her younger years. She also enjoyed painting and sewing. Professionally, Jeanne held a variety of jobs over the years, but her favorite role was waitressing. She cherished her time working at Pero’s Pizza in Atlanta, where she had the thrill of serving famous customers.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Michael, David, Thomas, Joseph, and Deborah Goff; grandchildren, Chelsea, Noah, Joe Jr., and Syresa Goff; as well as by her brother, Jim Abbott.
At the family’s request, all services held will be private.
