Jeanne Lea Mcgough

December 10, 1940 — March 15, 2023

Jeanne Lea McGough, age 82, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on the morning of Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Jeanne was born on December 10, 1940, in Des Moines, IA, to the late Loren and Francis Ford. She graduated form East High School in 1959.

Jeanne devoted her life to being a full-time wife and homemaker for her family. In 1979 she founded Baby Business providing post-natal care for new mothers and found nannies for families. For 22 years she served as President and CEO of McGough Glass & Mirror. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in West Des Moines, IA where she was active with Teens encountering Christ (TEC). In her free time, you could find Jeanne shopping, tending to her roses, collecting porcelain dolls, and decorating, but it was time spent with her grandchildren when she was happiest.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 64 years, Leo Patrick McGough, Sr. of Warner Robins, GA; children, Patrick McGough (Liberty) and Timothy McGough (Mylene), both of Warner Robins, GA, Mary Lou McGough (Cheryl) of Des Moines, IA and Julie Clark (Russ) of Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Skylar, Bailey, Tanner, and Caden, and great-grandchildren; Aleisa, Logan, Makayla, Sophia, Bryce; and, Elise.

At the family's request, all services will be private.
