Jeffrey Bateman, 58, entered into rest on Saturday, August 25, 2012.
Jeffrey was born on May 2, 1954 in Macon, Georgia. He was the Southeast Regional Vice President of the esteemed jewelry company, Tiffany and Company, and was a very giving and generous person. Jeffrey dedicated much of his time to several organizations including: The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts where he was on the Board of Directors, Young Friends of the Opera, The Foundation for the Advancement of Cardiac Therapies, and Leaders in Furthering Education. Jeffrey was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He will always be missed by all who knew him. His parents, Edgar Eugene Bateman and Frances Parrish Bateman; and sister, Linda Hardison, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Elizabeth Marie Bateman; daughters, Jana Burrow (Seth) and Sara Bateman; stepson, Ben Cook, Jr.; granddaughters; Lila and Evelyn Burrow; brother, Brant Bateman (Elizabeth); nieces and nephews, Olivia and Audrey Bateman, Holly Pavliscsak (Mike), Heath Hardison (Georgia), and Kurt Hardison (Heather); brother-in-law, Murray Hardison; and many devoted friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given to The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, 701 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 or to LIFE-Leaders in Furthering Education - Lois Pope Foundation, 6274 Linton Blvd. Suite 103, Delray Beach, FL 33484.
