Jerry Cleo Newman

Jerry Newman 68, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Jerry was born on March 20, 1947 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Oscar Cleo "Joe Brown" and Rosa Lee Pittman Newman. He loved working with people and in the car business. Jerry spent his life doing what he loved; he was the general manager at Eddie Wiggins Ford for many years before opening and operating Jerry Newman Mitsubishi in Warner Robins. Prior to his career in the automotive business, he was the youngest manager for Belk Hudson in Valdosta. In his spare time Jerry loved dealing with antique tractors, fishing, firearms, and anything that included time spent with his beloved family.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Jeanette Newman of Warner Robins; children, Donna Newman Manning and her husband Chip of Warner Robins; and Terry Newman of Milan; as well as many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Jerry will be laid to rest in Harrell Cemetery in Midway. Reverend Mike Slade will officiate.
