Jesse "Danny" Daniel Burgess

Jesse Daniel Burgess, 65, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Visitation will be Thursday evening, November 9 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peerless Road Church located in Cleveland, TN. An additional visitation will be Saturday, November 11, from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, Warner Robins, GA. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Perry Memorial Gardens, Perry, Georgia.

Mr. Burgess was born on January 23, 1941 in Arcola, Mississippi. Danny lived in Cleveland, TN for twenty four years before making Warner Robins his home one year ago. Danny, an ordained Deacon, and his wife Joyce pastored several churches in Florida and Tennessee. A long-time insurance agent, he was most recently employed with Connie Day Insurance Agency in Cleveland. His passion was his faith in God and his beloved family. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and playing the guitar. His father, Elbert Burgess, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Merlene Burgess, Warner Robins; children, Latricia Burgess Pope (Kelly, II), Warner Robins; Cheree Burgess Schuetz (Rick), Winter Springs, FL; mother, Lessie Johnson Burgess, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Kelly Pope, III, Kaitlyn Pope, and Kasen Schuetz; sisters, Winnie Green, Linda McNeal, Debbie Porter, Mary Burgess, Ellen Starling; brothers, Vernon, Bill, Mickey, Larry, Roger, Jimmy and Stan Burgess, and numerous nieces and nephews.
