Jewell Gladys Strawn, 93, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
Jewell was born on February 12, 1918 in Thomasville, Georgia, but resided most of her life in Florida. She was of the Baptist faith, loved to read, and was always ready to go. More than anything, she loved her grandkids. She will be greatly missed as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her parents, James and Annie Gibbs; husband, Gedis Strawn; and son, Ronald (Kay) Strawn, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Robert (Shirley) Strawn, Barbara (Mickey) Amberg, Dianna (Wayne) Williams, and Henry (Ann) White; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Reverend Todd Shearin will officiate.
