JoAnn Arnold Kent

JoAnn Arnold Kent, 90, entered into rest on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

JoAnn was born on November 24, 1934, in Sugar Creek, Alabama, to the late Earcy and Irene Arnold. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church, where she found joy and fellowship in the Faith Keeps Sunday School Class. Above all, JoAnn was a devoted wife and mother who deeply cherished her family, treasuring every moment spent raising them and the memories they made.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Kent and brother, Glen Arnold.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Rex Kent (Martha) of Enterprise, Alabama, Sonja Hays of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Debbie Carthen (James) of Roxboro, North Carolina; with ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, September 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, JoAnn will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of JoAnn Kent to The American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
