John E. Murray

John E. Murray, 78, entered into rest on Monday, August 29, 2011.

Mr. Murray was born on September 23, 1932 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty-three years before retiring as Master Sergeant. He continued working in Aircraft Maintenance for eleven years before retiring from civil service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and church member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His parents, Edward Joseph Murray and Stella Dandano Murray, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Helen V. Murray; children, Janet Barks (Mike), Shawn Murray (Candice), Mark Murray (Ellen) and Judith Welsh (Shon); seven grandchildren; brother, Pat Murray; and sister, Theresa Mycyk.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Monsignor Fred Nijem officiating. Inurnment will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
