John F. Demarest, 71, died Tuesday, December 25 at Houston Medical Center. A memorial service will be held in Magnolia Park Cemetery on Saturday, December 29 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Mother and Child Ministries, c/o St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 830 Poplar Street, Macon, 31201.
Mr. Demarest was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts and was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Demarest was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Mason and Mary R. Demarest .
Survivors include his nephew, Basil Demarest, Lizella; nephew, Theodore Demarest, Gainesville, GA; niece, Diana Cox, Macon; and nephew, Clyde Hall, Macon.
