John "Fish" Neal entered into rest on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. He was 62 years old.
Fish was born on July 17, 1954 in Macon, Georgia to the late Mildred C. and Jule C. Neal, Jr. He graduated from Mount de Sales Academy and previously worked as an electrician for Taylor Electric. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed the outdoors and golfing. Fish was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, as well. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
He leaves his memory behind with his loving children, John Michael Neal, Jr. (JoAnn) of Byron, Alicia Carroll of Griffin, and Matthew Neal of Bowling Green, Kentucky; three grandchildren; siblings, Lisa Moody (David) of St. Simons Island, Cody Neal (Ginny) of Moultrie, Lyn Neal of St. Simons Island, and Patti Neal (Grace) of Matchala, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1st at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Macon. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of John Michael Neal, Sr. to Daybreak, a Project of Depaul USA, 174 Walnut St., Macon, GA 31201.
