John Paul

John Paul, 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2005 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

John Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was born in the German Settlement of Engelsbrunn, Romania to Josef and Susanna Paul on July 11, 1917. John was a machinist and a team leader in the steel industry for many years.

He left Germany for America in 1955. He learned English and made a beautiful life for his wife Elisabeth and his four children. John was an affectionate, spiritual man; loved by all who met him.

He is survived by his daughter, Elisabeth Henry and her husband, Robert Henry of Bronte, Texas; his sons and their families, John and Maryann Helfrich of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Raymond M. Paul, of Warner Robins; Heinz and Marie Paul, of Oswego, Illinois; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
