John Thomas Pennington, 87, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
John was born on February 6, 1924 in Nauvoo, Alabama. A veteran of the United States Navy, he proudly served our country in World War II, and retired from thirty-two years of civil service with Robins Air Force Base. John was an avid fisherman, and was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. His parents, Corbet and Beulah Pennington, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his sons, Mark and James Keith Pennington; half-daughter, Theresa Russel; sister, Nelta Jean Frier, Nobleton, Florida; brothers, Lester Pennington, Nauvoo, Alabama; Kenneth Pennington, Sumilton, Alabama; Morris Pennington, Dora, Alabama; and grandchildren, Amanda and Adrian Pennington.
Services will be private.
