John Frank Williams, Sr.

December 30, 1938 — June 2, 2025

Hawkinsville

John Frank Williams, Sr., 86, entered into rest on Monday, June 2, 2025.

John was born on December 30, 1938, in Scooba, Mississippi, to the late Earnest B. Williams, Sr. and Annie Mae Craig Williams. At the age of five, he and his family relocated to Warner Robins, Georgia, where he would go on to leave a lasting legacy.

A dedicated public servant, John served as a city councilman for several years, passionately advocating for the revitalization of downtown Warner Robins. His commitment to community improvement was matched by his entrepreneurial spirit—he owned and operated both Williams Sign Company and JFW Construction Company. Later, he joined H.R. Hoar Construction, where his work took him across the country building shopping malls until his retirement in 1983.

Outside of work, John found joy in music and the open road. He loved playing his guitar and could often be seen riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles alongside his sons, creating memories that would be cherished for a lifetime. He was also a lifelong, faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Norman.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 65 years, Elna Faye Williams; children, Donna Sue Hatten (Louis) of Perry, Georgia, John F. Williams, Jr. (Joyce) of Raymond, Mississippi, and Benjamin Craig Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Natasha Pinson, Hannah Gottberg, and Trevor Williams; great-grandchildren, Michael Williams, Destiny Williams, Zoe Pinson, McKinley Gottberg, and Skylar Williams, along with many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, John will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
