Johnny D. Carroll, 58, died Tuesday, March 12 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, March 14 at the Roberta United Methodist Church with interment following in the Roberta Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Roberta United Methodist Church.
Mr. Carroll was born in Butler, GA. Mr. Carroll received an Associates Degree in Engineering from Southern Tech and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Southern. He served in the Air National Guard from 1968 until 1974 and in the Army National Guard from 1981 until his death. He achieved the rank of CW-4, Warrant Officer. He had been employed in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base for 28 years, previously as an Industrial Engineer and currently as a Telecommunications Manager. He was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Carroll and Addie Sara Jones Carroll.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Carroll; sons, Clint Carroll and Will Carroll, all of Warner Robins; brothers, Ross Carroll (and Faye), Macon; James “Pete” Carroll (and Brenda), Roberta; and Jimmy Carroll (and Frankie), also of Roberta and several nieces and nephews.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
