Johnny Ray Ward, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 14, 2018.
Johnny was born on September 28, 1941 in Esto, Florida. He proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force and was active during the Vietnam War in Thailand. After his military service, Johnny served 20 more years as a supervisor for the United States Post Office where he retired. He was a hard worker who had a heart that was never too busy to help others. Johnny lived his life as an example by serving his community and his church home. He was a current member of Freedom Church in Warner Robins. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.
Johnny was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Plunkett Beard and his stepdad, Clifford Beard.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 56 years, Sylvia Elizabeth Ward; children, Tina Ward, Debra Ward, and Daniel Ward (Donna); grandchildren, Devon Parks, Justin Parks (Tamara), Jessica Maxwell (Cee), Brandon Parks, Ashley Revell, Paige Revell, Cierra Berry, Trevor Ward, Hannah Ward, Alivia Ward; siblings, Carl Ward (Connie), Wanda Olive (Al), Kenny Phillips (Norma); and 17 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Johnny Ward will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Freedom Church, is 820 N Houston Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Ward’s arrangements.
