Joseph Paul Munzenrider

Joseph Paul Munzenrider, 71, died at home on Sunday, November 22, 2009.

Born on August 1, 1938 in Helena, Montana, he was educated at St. Helena Cathedral High School, St. Angela Academy, Aiken, South Carolina, Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, North Carolina and the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. With pride and honor he served his country in the U. S. Army in military intelligence. He subsequently worked in information technology in Seattle, Boston, and eventually Macon. Throughout his life, he maintained a strong interest in science and furthered his studies in geology and astronomy. He authored an unpublished book on astrophysics. Joe much appreciated opera and classical music; he was very knowledgeable in both. He was predeceased by his parents, John Michael Munzenrider and Dora Estelle Hanson Munzenrider, and sister, Janet Munzenrider Lenz.

He will live in the hearts of his brothers, John E. Munzenrider (Elizabeth), Norwood, Massachusetts, and Robert F. Munzenrider (Frances), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania; five nieces; five nephews; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later time. Interment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the charity of their choice.
