Judith Cheryl Williams-Walker

November 9, 1945 — July 26, 2022

Judy Cheryl Williams-Walker peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her residence. She was 76 years old.

Judy was the daughter of the late Martha Ann Ellis Williams and Frank Williams. Born on November 9, 1945, in Montezuma, Georgia, she lived in Oglethorpe as a child. Following World War II, her family moved to South France for a few years. Upon returning stateside, Judy attended Warner Robins High School before graduating from High School in Charleston, South Carolina; in both places, her classmates voted her the wittiest person. She went on to attend secretary school before working in real estate. She also worked at National Bank Products for a number of years before retiring from Robins Air Force Base as a civilian in the Missile Department.

Judy became a loving and proud mother at the age of 26. She enjoyed being a team mom for her children’s sports teams and even played softball for a local club league. Judy was also an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and loved fast cars. Her beloved nicknames included “Hoot” and “Ms. Patience” and was affectionately referred to by her grandchildren as “Mum Mum.” She had an excellent, yet inappropriate, sense of humor and loved pranking her co-workers. Judy was adored by all and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Trippi Williams.

Her children, Cher Walker-Newcomb (Rick) of Decatur, Georgia, and Sheila Walker-Strong of Homestead, Florida; grandchildren, Kara Strong, Andromeda Newcomb; and brother, Randy Williams of Panama City Beach, Florida are left to cherish her memory.
