Judy Machen Rader

On the evening of Friday, January 5, 2018, Judy Machen Rader, 72, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Mrs. Rader was born on July 10, 1945 in Albertville, Alabama to the late Robert and Violet Maughon Machen. A 1963 graduate of Warner Robins High School, Mrs. Rader continued her education at Georgia Women’s College and California State University, in Long Beach, where she received her teaching education. Mrs. Rader touched the lives of many students and families through her teaching. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she will be missed by all who knew her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Roger J. Rader; daughter, Nicole Rader of Perry; granddaughter, Emily Rader (6) of Perry; brothers, Ken Machen (Marsha) of Eatonton and Robert Machen (Debra) of Rossmoor, California; brother-in-law, Larry Rader (Antonia) of Camak, Georgia; nephew, Kyle Machen (Jamison) of Perry; and nieces, Amber Faloona (Brian) of California, Jenny Suknaich of Los Angeles, California and Rene Bush (Ben) of Rossmoor, California

The funeral service celebrating Mrs. Rader’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony McPhail officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Rader will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville at 2:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
