Julia Duke Johnson, 92, died Thursday, April 17, 2003. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Whitewater Baptist Church in Oglethorpe with visitation preceding the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, Houston County Division, 134 Cherren Dale Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088
Born in Plant City, Florida, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Simeon Boaz and Nancy Davis Duke. A graduate of Georgia Southwestern University, she was retired from Manhattan Company in Americus, Georgia. She was also a homemaker and member of Whitewater Baptist Church in Oglethorpe. Her husband, Grady William Johnson, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Earl Johnson, Lake City, FL; daughter, Florence Johnson Moore (Jim), Warner Robins; son, George Warren Johnson (Glenda), Perry; nine grandchildren: David Johnson (Kathy), Darryl Johnson (Laura), T.J. Johnson, Leah Rowe (Ricky), Jeff Moore (Tracy), Chuck Moore (SaBess), Keith Moore (Heidi), Chris Johnson (Sonja), and Amy Gaultney; and 15 great grandchildren: Kristen and Kelly Johnson; Bryan Johnson; Ansley, Kyle, Caitlyn and Anna Rowe; McKenzie, Zach, and Montana Moore; Tate and Lane Moore; Victoria Moore; Saylor Johnson; and Bailey Gaultney.
