While at home, Mark Fields, 76, slipped peacefully into the arms of his blessed Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 25, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mark, son of the late Julian M. Fields, Sr., and Mildred Wheelus Fields of Kathleen, Georgia, was a lifelong resident of Houston County. He was a proud graduate of the 1958 class of Warner Robins High School. Mark was employed in the Electronic Warfare Directorate at Robins Air Force Base and retired after thirty-five years of dedicated service. He was an active member of Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He loved his Lord, his family, his country, and southern heritage. Mark was a loyal friend to all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Priscilla Mooneyham Fields, three daughters, Susan F. Willis (Mitch) of Kathleen, Rhonda F. Dunn (J.D.) of Warner Robins and Tonya F. Pinckley (Jeff) of Kathleen; two sisters, Peggy F. Dismuke (Kyle) of Kathleen and Brenda F. Elliott (Wade) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Joshua Willis (Joana), Mark Willis, Alex Huckaby, Hannah Armor (Bradley), Rebecca Partain (Gabe), William Scales (Miranda), Joshua Dunn, Julie Dunn, Richard Pinckley and James Pinckley; six great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. Afterwards, Mark will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mark Fields to the Helping Hands Ministry at Second Baptist Church at 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Fields’ arrangements.
