Julius L. Smith

Julius L. Smith, 79, left this earthly world to meet his Savior face to face on Wednesday, September 18, 2013.

Julius was born on July 26, 1934 in Athens, Tennessee to Merrill H. and Frances Large Smith. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Julius called Houston Lake Baptist Church his church home. His wife, Marcella Heisz Smith and parents preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Randy L. Smith (Sarah), Ana M. Earwood, Laura L. Womac and Michael R. Smith, all of Cleveland, Tennessee, James A. Smith of Bonaire, Georgia, and Mark S. Smith (Josie) of Warner Robins, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bud Smith of Athens, Tennessee and Louise Estes of Maryville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be Friday, September 20, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Fred McCoy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be given to Houston Lake Baptist Church Building Fund, 2300 Highway 127 East, Perry, GA 31069.
