Karen Gwyn Gallaher

Early on the morning of Saturday, March 9, 2024, Karen Gwyn Gallaher, 68, entered into the gates of heaven.

Karen was born on May 27, 1955, in Macon, Georgia to the late Horace and Helen Holtzclaw. An avid reader, she had a love for books and enjoyed the arts of poetry and creative writing. Karen loved music and enjoyed singing. Above all else, Karen treasured her family and valued fellowship with loved ones. Her caring nature shone through in her acts of kindness towards others; she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton Gallaher and siblings, Steven Holtzclaw, Connie Adams (Glenn) and twin, Sharon Lynn Holtzclaw.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Cassey Kare, Elizabeth Gallaher Mathis (Todd), Lara Gallaher and Bubba Gallaher (Michelle); grandchildren, Madison Pryor, Landon Gallaher, Jenna Kare, Devin Mathis and Ellie Gallaher; great grandchildren, Natalia and Melody; and siblings, Diane Holtzclaw and Ethel Helfer (Jared).

Visitation with Karen’s family will be Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with the funeral service celebrating her life following at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. After the service, Karen will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
