Karen Ann Rumler Loden, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. She was born on March 30, 1945 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Hoke Rumler and Frances Jeanette Montgomery Rumler.

Karen grew up in Brattleboro, Vermont. She received her B.S. degree from Miami University. There she met her future husband Claude Douglas Loden (Lt. Col, Air Force). Karen went on to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work and Counseling from Vanderbilt University. As a military spouse, she was frequently called upon to move and change jobs. Karen’s longest and favorite occupation was as an Early Intervention Case Coordinator for the State of Georgia Babies Can’t Wait program.

Karen’s greatest love was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She also enjoyed traveling around the world with friends, attending music concerts, and charity work.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Douglas Loden (2001), her brother, Craig Montgomery Rumler and her parents Robert Hoke Rumler and Frances Jeanette Montgomery Rumler. She is survived by her children, Kristin L. Kohrman (Brian) and Dr. S. Michael Loden (Amy); and grandchildren Loden Kohrman, Luke Kohrman and Blake Loden.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11:30 am Friday June 5, 2026 at McCullough Funeral Home 417 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service at 10:30 am.
