Warner Robins – Kelly Charlton Purvis, 77, entered into rest on Sunday, November 7, 2010.
Kelly was born on July 21, 1933 in Helena, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served in the United States Army. He retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Supply Motor Vehicle Operator after thirty-seven years of faithful service. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and coaching Little League. His loving wife, Martha Sue Purvis; and parents, Charlton Ashley Purvis and Reba Manus Purvis, preceded him in death.
A loving father and grandfather, his memory will forever be treasured by his children, Charlton Alan Purvis (May), Warner Robins; Greg Caldwell (Dee), Lake City, Florida; Debbie Jernigan (Tyrus), Warner Robins; and June Carroll (Jeff), Warner Robins; Brothers Stanley Purvis, Virginia; Harold Purvis, Alabama; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, Reverend Andy Cook officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to: Shirley Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins GA 31088.
