Kenneth Wayne Savage, 76, entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2026.
Born on March 4, 1950, in Toccoa, Georgia, Kenneth was the son of the late Benjamin “Red” Savage and Margaret Burdette Savage. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1969 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army.
Following his military service, Kenneth dedicated himself to his community through his work with the Warner Robins Fire Department. He later began a long career as a machine operator with Brown & Williamson, where he worked faithfully until his retirement.
Kenneth was a man who truly enjoyed life and the simple pleasures it offered. He had a passion for cooking and was especially proud to compete in BBQ competitions alongside his friends, the Bonaire Boys, at the Pig Jig. Weekends often found him attending NASCAR races, where he relished the excitement and camaraderie.
A creative spirit, Kenneth enjoyed photography, woodworking in his shop, and tending to his garden, where he took pride in growing his own vegetables. He was a devoted fan of University of Georgia football and could always be found cheering on the Dawgs with enthusiasm.
Known for his humor and storytelling, Kenneth liked to think of himself as a comedian, always ready with a joke or a tale to share. His laughter and personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Cranford and Brenda Brawley; niece, Kathy Willoughby; and great-grandson, Declan Wheeless.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Karen Savage; son, Eric Wheeless; step-sons, Wayne Cutchen and Nick Wilson; grandchildren, Haley Wheeless and Alexis Belflower (Hunter); great-grandchildren, Michael Belflower, Walter Samuel, Nicholas Buddy and Sage Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held following the memorial gathering at Magnolia Park Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
