On September 21, 2025, at 8:18 a.m., the world quietly met and tenderly said goodbye to Kylan Andrew, who was born sleeping after 27 weeks of love and anticipation.
Kylan entered this world with curly black hair, tiny hands, and big, beautiful feet—a reminder of the life and legacy he carries with him. He weighed 1 lb. 2.5 oz. and measured 29 ½ inches long, every detail cherished and etched forever into the hearts of those who loved him.
The name Kylan holds a beautiful meaning: “narrow,” “slender,” or “straight”, with roots in Celtic, Irish, and Welsh cultures. His middle name, Andrew, was given in honor of his grandfather, a name of strength and love that he will carry for eternity.
Though his heart stopped before he could take his first breath, Kylan’s presence filled his mother’s life with immeasurable love. She chose to walk the journey of motherhood bravely on her own, holding her son close in spirit and in memory. Together, mother and child shared a sunset and a sunrise—the most meaningful 24 hours, filled with love, grief, and the beauty of his short but profound existence.
Kylan Andrew is survived by his loving mother, BreAnn Dickerson; his grandfather, Eric Dickerson; his grandmother, Katherine Dickerson; and his aunt, Adrianna Dickerson. He is also lovingly remembered by his great-grandfather, Rob Dickerson; his great-aunt, Melissa Slayton; his great-uncle, Joseph Slayton; his great-great-aunt, Pat Winebarger; and his cousin, Natalie Savarese.
Though his time was brief, Kylan’s impact is everlasting. He will remain a precious part of his family’s story, a little soul who knew only love.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Please wear baby blue in honor of Kylan. Afterward, Kylan Andrew Dickerson will be laid to rest in privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Kylan Andrew Dickerson to the March of Dimes Foundation, 1550 Crystal Dr., Ste. 1300, Arlington, VA 22202; or to Project Sweet Peas, 45 Boylston St, Warwick, RI 02889.
